Create 360° immersive virtual tours and view them on any device and in VR mode
"The mobile apps didn't just extend Roundme - they transformed it into a truly accessible platform, putting immersive storytelling into the hands of a global community."

Challenge
Building smooth 360° experiences on phones wasn't straightforward - gyroscope support was inconsistent, performance was unstable, and the libraries we needed simply didn't exist.
Solution
We created custom solutions with WebGL and other frameworks to render immersive panoramas directly on mobile screens, balancing high technical complexity with clean, intuitive user experience.
Results
- Native iOS & Android apps
- Custom VR viewer
- Offline tours feature
- Material Design implementation
The Story
The main purposes of the Roundme Android app for professionals is a fast and smooth VR mode made possible because of custom made native viewer and permanent access to the portfolio with the "Offline Tours" feature.
For the users who are just exploring the content, the app is a great and engaging opportunity to learn more about almost any corner of the Earth (and more) before the vacation trip, in educational purposes or just for fun.
Challenges
When we expanded Roundme to mobile, the road was even tougher. Back then, building smooth 360° experiences on phones wasn't straightforward - gyroscope support was inconsistent, performance was unstable, and the libraries we needed simply didn't exist.
We had to invent much of it ourselves: creating custom solutions with WebGL and other frameworks to render immersive panoramas directly on mobile screens.
Designing the apps also meant balancing high technical complexity with the clean, intuitive flow users expected. On Android, I had to embrace and apply Google's new Material Design principles, while wrestling with the specifics of publishing and maintaining apps across different devices and OS versions.

Press & Recognition
The Roundme mobile apps were featured in major tech publications.
Conclusion
These challenges taught me to think like both a founder and a product designer - aligning technical innovation with user experience. I learned how to lead a team through uncharted problems, prioritize simplicity over complexity, and translate raw technology into something people could instantly understand and enjoy.
The mobile apps didn't just extend Roundme - they transformed it into a truly accessible platform, putting immersive storytelling into the hands of a global community.
